JCT Traffic Signals Symposium
Book Your PlaceOverview
For three decades, the JCT Symposium has been a focal point for traffic signal practitioners, maintaining a strong community of signals engineers. The event is designed to be an affordable and inclusive conference, accessible to delegates of all levels of experience and to promote the sharing of knowledge, practical experience and good practice. In recent years, the Symposium has further strengthened its reputation as the UK’s leading conference for traffic signals professionals.
The Symposium takes place over two days and is preceded by the MOVA Users Group. It combines technical conference papers alongside valuable networking opportunities and organised evening social events. The programme places a strong emphasis on the signals community itself and JCT actively invites paper and presentation submissions from practising signal engineers, manufacturers and suppliers. Reflecting the broad appeal of the event, contributions are also welcomed from policymakers, interest groups, and academics.
If you would like to share your experience with the signals community, we would be pleased to hear from you. JCT is committed to supporting contributors wherever possible, including the provision of subsidised attendance at the event.

2026 Exhibition
There will be no official exhibition at the 2026 Traffic Signals Symposium. We are pausing the exhibition in 2026 to allow the Symposium to settle into a new venue and to re focus on the core purpose of providing a high quality learned programme. The Symposium learned programme will have longer presentations and more time for Q&A.
We would however like to thank the Companies who have contributed to the exhibition and provided generous sponsorship over the last 30 years and we sincerely hope that when we re introduce an exhibition you will consider supporting us again.
